When your dog or cat is sick or injured, our veterinarians provide same-day and urgent veterinary care, for vomiting, diarrhea, pain, wounds, bite injuries, lacerations, limping, infections and sudden changes in health. Walk-ins are welcome during clinic hours, and same-day appointments are available.

What are the hours, and what should I do outside them?

Promontory Animal Hospital opens at 8:00am and closes at 8:00pm, seven days a week, with urgent care during our regular and extended evening hours. Outside those hours, contact a nearby 24-hour veterinary facility.

We treat dogs and cats at every stage of life, offering personalized medical care tailored for puppies, kittens, adults, and seniors. What should I bring to my first appointment at Promontory Animal Hospital?

Do you accept walk-ins?

Yes. We welcome walk-ins for urgent cases seven days a week. For routine appointments, booking ahead is recommended, so the veterinarian has the time to examine your pet properly and go through the options with you. Call 604-991-2745, or send the request form on this page.

Do you provide emergency veterinary care?

Yes. Promontory Animal Hospital provides urgent medical assessments, triage stabilization, and emergency surgical care during our regular operating hours—8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, 7 days a week. If your pet is experiencing a medical emergency during our open hours, please call 604-991-2745 immediately so our clinical team can prepare for your arrival. We are not a 24-hour emergency or critical care facility. For emergencies outside our operating hours, please contact a nearby 24-hour emergency veterinary hospital.

Does my pet need urgent care?

Not sure if your pet needs urgent medical attention? Call us at 604-991-2745. Our friendly team can help assess your concerns and guide you on the care your pet may need. Signs that may require urgent care include vomiting, diarrhea, difficulty breathing, collapse or seizures, excessive bleeding, severe pain, sudden inability to move, bite injuries, lacerations, limping, suspected poisoning or toxin exposure, fractures or exposed bone, difficulty urinating, or sudden severe changes in health.

Do you offer house call services?

Yes. We offer compassionate house-call euthanasia, so you and your pet can spend their final moments together in the comfort and privacy of home. We are here to provide gentle care and support for you and your family through this difficult time.
